All courses can be run in a venue to suit you including in your own home or workplace, space permitting. Please ring Willson and Jones on 01223 785935 to organise a course date/time to suit you. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays have the best availability but other days can be arranged with enough prior notice.
Beginner’s knitting
These courses are ideal for 4-6 people and allow plenty of one-on-one time as you’d be surprised how tricky a bit of wool and a couple of sticks can be to control! This course would suit a hen party.
I will bring everything you need to get started including instruction materials, yarn and needles. We start with some sample squares to learn the techniques of casting on, a knit stitch, a purl stitch and casting off and then move on to two or three pre-agreed items for you to start making in the class and finish off at home. I bring samples of the items that we make so that you can see what you’re aiming for.

Beginner’s curtain making
These are ideal for 1-2 people to learn how to make a small, lined, sample curtain that you will keep for future reference.
I will bring everything that you need including fabric/lining material, header tape and sewing machines if needed. Basic machine sewing skills are required.
